After finishing well in his first races of the season, Trevor is now in Europe preparing for the first World Cup of his career. He will be competing in the slalom on Sunday in front of 50 000 plus fans. "Im very very excited, this is what you dream as a little kid watching it on T.V, and to now have the opportunity to live it is truly amazing. Ive been speaking with teamates regarding their first World Cups and trying to get a handle on the different emotions, however I hope to handle just like any other race."

Trevor podiums in No-rams
In his first race back in a year and a half, Trevor managed a 2nd and 3rd place in the No-ram Slaloms in Sunday River, Maine. " I'm super happy, I had only skied a handful of days prior to the race, and hadn't raced in quite some time so I had no expectations. I skied well, and Im very happy with the outcome. " Trevor now heads to Europe for 2 months of competitions.

Ski Camp Update
Trevor has re-injured his knee in a week long camp in Farnham Glacier training SL. It was the first of 2 fall camps following the summer training in Argentina. " I just straddled a gate and kind of jammed the knee, its very stiff but hopefully nothing serious. I will have an MRI this week to confirm whats goin on." It was Trevor's second camp on snow after a year off snow following an ACL reconstruction.

Ski Camp Update
Trevor is currently in Ushuaia, Argentina, at the tip of South America for a 4 week on snow training camp with the WC Mens Tech Team. It will be a long, slow camp as Trevor continues to rehab his knee and improve his technical skills at the same time. "Coming back from an injury takes time, but so far the camp has been very successful. Obviosuly time on snow and the mileage I can endure is limited, but I think I have been able to manage quite well and the knee feels great." Trevor returns home the end of August and has 3 weeks of physical training before returning to snow near the end of September.

Trevor on snow!
Trevor has returned to snow after a year of rehabilitation following surgery on his knee. He will spend a week with the World Cup Tech team up at Farnham Glacier, where he will begin his return to snow program. " Its nice to be able to return to snow after a year off, and see some of my hard work in rehabilitating my knee pay off. It is however a bit nerve racking returning to the glacier where I injured myself, but I have expected mental obstacles all along, and its part of the healing process."

Tour of Champions
Trevor has completed the 2007 Tour of Champions, a week long bike tour that took Canadian Ski Team athletes from Calgary, host of the 1984 Olympics, to Whistler, future host to the 2010 Winter Olympics. It was a 900km trip through 2 mountain ranges and a variety of weather. "It was probably one of the more physically and mentally challenging things I have endured. Some days were harder than others, but each poised a different obstacle, whether it be snow, extreme heat, or complete and utter exhaustion. Some days were as long as 6 hours riding time, and not at a cruising pace by any means. We are competitive athletes and showed on the bikes. In hindsight I am very pleased to have completed the tour unscaved and I think it has set the tone for the summer training that lies ahead." Rehab Update
Trevor is well on his way to a full and healthy recovery. With the team’s head physiotherapist Kent Kobelka, he has made positive gains in his health and seems to be making a great recovery. He usually trains from 9 to 2 Mon to Fri, with the occasional day off here and there with his coaching schedule. “ It’s a lengthy and time consuming process, but is necessary to make a full recovery and healthy return to snow. The date of my injury means my recovery will blend into the summer training with the other athletes. That translates to 9 months in the gym, so its important for me to work hard, but also rest hard so I don’t burn out.” Trevor has another 2 and a half months of rehab until he will join the rest of the team in Calgary to begin summer training.

Calgary Alberta, 2007-01-21 - 11:16:11 PDT
Coach Trevor!
Trevor has decided to be a temporary coach for the Edmonton Alpine Ski Academy. As he is sidelined from competing this season with a knee injury, he will balance his rehab with a job as both a K2 and FIS coach. “I was approached by the Edmonton Academy and think it will be a great way to stay in touch with the sport and continue to grow as an athlete even if I can’t ski. I think I can make great mental gains and see a different aspect of the sport. It also gets me out of the gym once in a while.” Trevor will snowshoe up the mountain and take the lift down, until he is cleared by Alpine Canada’s medical staff to slide around.

Injury Update
Unfortunately Trevors season is done. He is sidelined with ligament tears and cartilage damage in his left knee, which he suffered while training a week ago at Farnham Glacier. " It happened really fast and is a big part of the sport, so I was pretty sure my knee was gone right away. Its unfortunate and will take some time to cope with, and hopefully I'll be able to make a full recovery." Trevor will undergo knee reconstructive surgery on the 31st of Oct, and begin a 6 month recovery and rehab program with the teams head physio Kent Kobelka and fellow injured teamate, Brad Spence. He is hopefully due back on snow this coming spring.

Trevor Training in Farnham!
Upon completion of a successful 4 week camp in South America and 3 more weeks of off snow training, Trevor is back on the slopes at Canada's very own national training site Farnham Glacier. "Its neat up here, we have a camp set up on the glacier. Conditions are unbelievable, we get towed up by snow cats but it is only us here so we get good mileage and great training." Trevor is with the World Cup Mens Technical team trying to earn a spot in the first World Cups next month.

Chillan Chile, 2006-08-20
Trevor in Chile!
After 12 long weeks of off snow training and preperation, Trevor is happy to be back on snow in Chillan, about 4 hours south of Santiago, Chile. This is Trevor's 4th summer training in south america. "It's nice down here because the mountains have good terrain and winter conditions, and arent very busy so we get alot of variety in where and when we can train compared to European glaciers. As any mountain we have to contend with weather and variable snow conditions, but so far the camp has been good. Nice to be back on snow!" The team has planned for about 23 days on snow and returns the begining of september.

Trevor Has Strong Showing at Western Spring Series!

Trevor finished the four day series with 3 podiums, including a 1st place tie with fellow teammate Patrick Biggs. "It was a good race series this week, and I think that these results will help me focus on a good off-season of dryland, and summer camps."

Trevor will be spending the next week at home before returning out to BC for a week long slalom camp in Panorama.

Whistler British Columbia, 2006-03-29
Trevor 2nd in Canadian Championships Combined!
Upon conclusion of the 2006 Pontiac GMC Championships, Trevor was suprized to find himself near the top of the field in the combined event, which combines athletes times in downhill and both slalom runs.

"I was quite surprised actually!" said Trevor, who was 2nd behind teammate Paul Stutz. "With a lot of focus being put on the new super combined event on the world cup this is a good result for me ."

Trevor will now look to finish off the season strong at the Western Spring Series being held in Rossland, BC.

Trevor Completes First Race Series Since Injury !
Trevor completed his first races approximately one month after sustaining a minor knee injury in Italy. The Pontiac GMC race series saw Trevor's first action, and with two podiums, Trevor was quite happy with the results.

"It is quite difficult to come back from an injury, and even though mine was minor I am glad to be back racing." Trevor claimed second spot in both slalom races behind fellow National Team member Paul Stutz. He will now focus on the upcoming Nor-ams in Panorama, BC. "This next race series is very important, and I hope to build on my recent performances."

Trevor back on snow!
Trevor was back on skis today, a mere 3 weeks after sustaining a knee injury in a Super G crash in Italy, which cut his Europe trip short. "It was good to get back on snow, even if it was only for three runs." Trevor was finally cleared by the doctor on Tuesday and jumped at the opportunity to get back.

After missing the final Noram speed events, in Apex and Big Mountain, Trevor is now focusing on a good training block and finishing the season out strong. "There are still some important races remaining, and I would like to ge back out and have a good showing." Trevor will remain in Calgary for the weekend to train locally, before heading out to Panorama, to train with the development team. His first racing test will be in Silverstar, BC, where Trevor will compete in the upcoming Pontiac Cups.

After the Silverstar tech series, Trevor will move on to the Noram Finals, National Championships, and Spring Series.

Trevor home from Europe!
After crashing in a Europa Cup Super-G in Selle Nevea, Italy, Trevor was sent home with an injury to his left knee. "Its not too serious, minor MCL tear and a bone bruise, so should only cost me a few weeks." Well at home he is undergoing daily physio and rehab. He hopes to be cleared to ski and possibly compete in the Norams this upcoming week, but is unsure if that will happen.

Kaprun Austria, 2006-01-09
Trevor in Europe!
After some tough conditions in the Hunter Mountain Norams, Trevor is now in Europe competing in FIS and Europa Cup races, trying to qualify for possible world cup spots. After a 3rd placing in the first run of The Giant Slalom in Hunter mountain, Trevor fell second run and couldn't manage better than a 9th place. He failed to finish in 2 of the other 4 and was disappointed with a 19th in the Slalom.

Panorama British Columbia, 2005-12-14
Trevor in Panorama!
After failing to finish any of the 4 technical Norams in Keystone Colorado, Trevor has returned to Canada to compete in the Noram Speed events held at Lake Louise and Panorama. "The tech races were stacked with a World Cup field so it was a matter of throwing it down all or nothing and in trying to do so I failed to finish. " After doing the training runs for the Downhill at Lake Louise Trevor left to Panorama to train Slalom with Alpine Canada's Mark Sharp. "I'm not much of a speed skier and I wasn't really into downhill so I thought it would be more beneficial to train some tech."

A few days later Trevor competed in the Noram Super G's, placing 5th ad 8th. "Its ok for me, the top is really technical and I skied it well but just lost a lot of time on the lower flats. In any case Super-G is not my event so I am satisfied with the results. Trevor now looks to 4 upcoming Technical FIS races at Panorama, and then a few weeks break for christmas.

Hintertux Austria, 2005-10-14
Fall Camp Update!
Trevor is currently in a two week fall training camp in Hintertux, Austria.
This is a higher intensity training block with time trials to incorporate a racelike training environment prior to the season. It will be the last away camp before the season begins November 10th at Nakiska. "The training is good, we have had great weather. It is difficult terrain and snow conditions, quite rough, which is good and challenging this time of the year. It looks like we will get about 12 days on snow which will be optimal before we head home."

Chillan Chile, 2005-08-25
Chile Update!
Trevor is currently in his 2nd week of on snow training in chile. "The training has been decent, contending with the weather has been tough. Alot of windy and snowy days, but its been alright. We have been doing alot of runs and the days have been long, but the skiing is going well." The team has been skiing 6 to 7 hours a day, clocking alot of milage. Trevor returns September 11th after 2 more weeks of vigourous training.

Calgary Alberta, 2005-08-01
Dryland Update!
Trevor is in his 13th and final week of training before he heads to Chile for his first on snow camp of the summer. It has been a long and tough summer, but Trevor feels he is in great shape and ready to get back on skis.

"Im really excited to get back on snow. Chile is a good place to be for summer training. Its been an intense and busy summer, and the training is almost getting monotenous so it will be a good break from the gym." Trevor will be in Chile for 4 weeks, which makes for a long camp. "Simmilar to last year it will be tough, long days and a long camp, but again I am excited"

Calgary Alberta, 2005-07-14
Dryland Update!
Trevor has just returned from a dryland camp in Fernie. The team endured many activities including Mt Biking, Trail running, Hiking, and a mini triathlon. " It was good to get out of the gym and into a different atmosphere for a change. Pretty intense training and a few spills on the bike, but all in all alot of fun."

Calgary Alberta, 2005-06-03

Trevor
Trevor just wrapped up the season, or began the new season (depending on how you look at it) with a weeklong Slalom camp at panorama. “ Camp was excellent, long and tough, but very successful.” The team clocked 8000 gates in 7 days on snow, trying to maximize training benefits, as the next camp won’t take place until late July. “Weather was awesome, snow stayed hard, really good skiing.”

To top it off, the team traveled from there to Blue River, BC, where they spent 3 days heli skiing at Mike Wiegles. "I can't explain how nice it was out there. The weather was warm so the snow wasn't in the greatest of states, but the whole environment was unbelievable." Quite a way to end/ begin a new season.

Trevor is currently in some down time before physical testing on May 9th, and the beginning of their strenuous summer training program. He heads down to Mexico on the 30th with some friends, returning on the 8th. " It's going to be a blast, I just hope we can stay out of trouble. A little sketchy getting back the day before testing, but I'll have to make due."
